ClearQuota (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how privacy works when you visit this website or use ClearQuota (the “Service”). ClearQuota is a local-first, open-source dashboard for developer-service usage.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 This website

We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or other tracking technologies on this website. We do not require an account or collect an email address to download, install, or use ClearQuota.

2.2 The ClearQuota application

ClearQuota runs on your computer and listens only on 127.0.0.1. It stores provider configuration and sanitized usage history in a local SQLite database. This information remains on your machine; ClearQuota does not collect or receive it.

To refresh a provider, ClearQuota resolves the provider credential from your Google Secret Manager reference and sends it directly to that provider’s API. Secret values are not stored in the database, logged, or returned to the browser.

2.3 Communications

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address and message, so that we can respond.

3. How We Use Information

We use correspondence you send us only to answer your request, provide support, protect the Service, or meet legal obligations. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information. ClearQuota does not operate a hosted backend that receives your dashboard data or provider credentials.

When you use ClearQuota, its local application communicates with the developer-service providers you configure and with Google Secret Manager, using your own access. Those services handle data according to their own privacy policies and terms.

5. Data Retention and Control

Dashboard data is retained locally under your control. You can remove it by deleting the application’s local data through the controls and instructions provided with ClearQuota. We retain emails only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the conversation, unless a longer period is required by law.

6. Security

ClearQuota is designed to minimize data exposure: it binds to localhost, keeps provider credentials transient, and persists only sanitized usage snapshots and Secret Manager references. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so you should also keep your machine and cloud credentials secure.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

ClearQuota does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies on this website. Because we do not set cookies, there is no cookie preference banner or cookie-based analytics to manage.

8. Your Privacy Rights

ClearQuota does not collect, hold, or receive personal information when you download, install, or run the application. Its dashboard data stays on your device and under your control. If you email us, we use the information you provide only to respond to your message.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any change will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
