ClearQuota legal
Terms of Service
Last updated: September 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ClearQuota (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ClearQuota is an open-source, local-first dashboard for monitoring developer-service usage, quotas, and spend. It runs on your computer and connects to providers you configure. The Service is provided for informational purposes only and does not provide financial, tax, legal, investment, or security advice.
3. Local Use and Your Responsibilities
ClearQuota does not require an account or a ClearQuota-hosted service. You are responsible for your device, your provider and Google Cloud accounts, the Secret Manager references you configure, and for ensuring you have permission to access and process the data displayed by the Service.
You remain responsible for reviewing usage figures, limits, and other information before relying on them for operational or financial decisions.
4. Open-Source License and Intellectual Property
ClearQuota is made available under the AGPL-3.0 license. Your use, copying, modification, and distribution of the software are governed by that license. The ClearQuota name, logo, website content, and other materials not covered by the software license may not be used in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation without permission.
5. Your Data
You retain all rights to data handled by your local ClearQuota installation. ClearQuota is designed to keep provider configuration and sanitized usage history on your machine, and it does not receive your dashboard data or provider credentials. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
6. Third-Party Services
ClearQuota can connect to third-party services such as provider APIs and Google Secret Manager. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, privacy policies, pricing, availability, and security practices. We are not responsible for third-party services or for changes they make to their APIs.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClearQuota will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or provider charges arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or compatible with every provider configuration.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
